Beauty of Giving Logo

Share-A-Haircut

Since its inception in 1999, we have donated over two million free haircut certificates through our signature Share-A-Haircut program. Hair Cuttery has extended its partnerships with local shelters, community organizations and national charities to serve underprivileged children, the homeless, victims of domestic violence and veterans. For every haircut purchased during Share-A-Haircut, we give a free haircut certificate to someone in need – and that’s a beautiful thing!

Ratner Family Giving

The Ratner family has a long philanthropic history, helping fund organizations such as: The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Camps for Kids and The American Red Cross. They gladly support wounded warriors, the arts, education and at-risk youth. Grateful for their successes, they recognize the importance of giving back and encouraging all of their Salon Professionals to get involved with causes dear to their hearts.

Grassroots Giving

We believe that doing the right thing is the goodness we put out into the world. Through salon cut-a-thons, our Salon Professionals raise funds to help a neighbor or a Guest in need. Our School Donation Program sets aside 20% of a day’s proceeds to local schools.

The Hope Fund

We care for our Salon Professionals like they are family and we support them through both good and bad times. The HOPE Fund’s mission is to offer emergency financial assistance to Salon Professionals experiencing temporary hardship and unexpected situations such as natural disasters, home destruction or a death in the family. It’s a great feeling to know that your team will always have your back.

Regional Partnerships

Hair Cuttery is committed to getting involved with the communities it serves. Our work with respected, national organizations is impacting a variety of causes. Additionally, we connect with local and regional groups whose values closely aligned with ours.

Future Professionals

Committed to giving back to the salon industry, Hair Cuttery is a partner to the Beauty Changes Lives foundation. Supporting courageous future professionals who make a smart decision to join the beauty industry, we sponsor beauty school education grants and scholarships for winning recipients.

Culture Ambassador

Our Salon Professionals are very important to us, so we want them to have a direct line of communication with our leadership and a voice in our company! Our dedicated Culture Ambassador makes regular visits to our salons, serving as a culture resource for our Salon Professionals. The Culture Ambassador provides an open forum to discuss ideas, ask questions and helps Salon Professionals to be better every day.

“I love this industry, and feel fortunate to have grown my entire career here with Hair Cuttery for over 30 years. Ratner is a unique company that has such heart for its people. We offer unparalleled training and support to build a successful business behind the chair. As Culture Ambassador, it is my personal privilege to help our Salon Professionals feel connected to our culture, get their ideas heard and support them on their own career paths."

Community & Social
Media Influencer

Growing your business as a Salon Professional is a key to long-term success. Our Community & Social Media Influencer provides one on one coaching for Salon Professionals to grow their business through social media.

“My advice for salons professionals just getting started is to start networking while you are still in beauty school. Build connections, whether you connect in trade shows or through local merchants (ie photographers, newspapers, magazines, etc). Building connections through your social media is also really helpful. So have your social media platforms ready and start having a presence on your pages. Lastly, but certainly not least, never forget your purpose. We go into this industry because we love making people feel confident and that should always be at the core of all that you do.”
